Robin Stallings has always had a passion for bicycling and trails since growing up in Garland, Texas. Robin received his degree in Middle Eastern Studies in 1981 from the University of Texas, including a period as an exchange student and interpreter in Iran. Robin served as a founding board member of the Institute for Transportation and Development Policy in 1983. He co-founded City Bikes in Washington, DC in 1988.
In 1997 Robin returned to Texas and soon began to serve on several local, state and national boards and commissions. Robin first got involved as a volunteer in 1999 and was hired as the full-time Executive Director of BikeTexas in 2003.
Robin was named 2018 Bicycle Advocate of the Year by the League of American Bicyclists. Robin is married to Gayle Stallings, Benefit Auctioneer and 2002 Bicycle Advocate of the Year.
